Nicole Sodoma:
A Lawyer Who Comes Out Swinging
Nicole Sodoma is a force in the courtroom with practices in five cities in the Carolinas. She wanted a video to express her and her firm’s “fighting spirit” on behalf of their clients. Our team at Kim Brattain Media (KBM) decided to visually channel the idea of Sodoma Law fighting for their clients creatively and unconventionally.
We decided on the metaphor of a boxing ring and filmed the first scene with Nicole in boxing gloves, landing punches on a bag. It was unconventional, but the KBM creative crew felt confining this video to an office would be stale.
Any project should be looked at from all angles rather than the one that comes to mind immediately. We believe in a departure from the ordinary or the expected. In this case, that meant taking an attorney out of the office into a gym.

The resulting film was a Gold Telly Winner for Public Relations in 2022, judged among the top 3.5% in the nation.
The film also won a Silver Telly for Corporate Image and scooped up a Gold MUSE award for films highlighting Law and Legal services.
