Kim Brattain isn’t your average CEO. Before building Kim Brattain Media into a powerhouse video production company, she spent 18 years as an Emmy Award-winning news anchor. It was during this time that Kim honed her skills in storytelling, understanding the power of visuals to capture attention and connect with audiences.
In 2008, Kim took a leap of faith and turned her dream into reality, founding Kim Brattain Media. Her vision was simple: to create compelling videos that transcend the ordinary and propel businesses and organizations forward.
Under Kim’s leadership, Kim Brattain Media has become a leader in the industry, collecting an impressive 32 Telly Awards, nine Muse Awards, two Davey Awards and countless Film Festivals.
Kim’s influence extends far beyond the world of video. Kim is a true community and industry leader. She has lent her expertise and passion to various organizations and been recognized for her achievements.

Woman Business Enterprise of the Year
In recognition and honor of small businesses that demonstrate exemplary leadership and sound business strategies. This award acknowledges and displays the hard work and resilient efforts of local small businesses, illustrating the positive footprint and economic impact they have on the community. The program nurtures relationship building between businesses, officials and government agencies.

Awarded to leaders whose influence is felt in business, government, legal, education and the nonprofit sector. Selection criteria includes professional achievements, community involvement and a record of leadership.
Kim’s foundation for success was laid at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism. Her academic background, coupled with her years of experience in front of and behind the camera, have equipped her with the tools to become the master storyteller she is today.
